7:45 – 8:15: Get picked up by your tour guide in the Old Quarter
9:30: Let’s visit Ha Thai village, which has been producing lacquerware since the 17th
century. We will learn more about the traditional artwork as we are going to meet a
lacquer painting artisan who is going to host us at his creative space. Immerse yourself
into the space by crafting your own lacquer product following his guidance. 10:50: Visit Chuong village which has been well-known for the craft of conical hat for
over 300 years. We wander around the village, visit an old veteran to listen to him
telling his own story joining the Vietnam war, OR visit some other artisans and learn
more about their everyday life (All visit depend on if they are at home or not, and only
visit 01 family). Later, we will be hosted at home of a female artisan who has been
making hats for more than 30 years. The artisan will cook lunch for us, and if you insist, there will be a small cooking class as you join her making the meal. Home-cooking is a
great way to feel the real vibes of local countryside. After having lunch, we are going to
express our creativity and artistic talent by painting on our own conical hat Nón Lá, or
join/observe the artisan crafting the conical hat. 13:30: Say goodbye to the artisan, let’s make up our day by visiting Quang Phu Cau
village. We are going to walk to the center of the village, visit several ancient houses,
interact with local artisans and take a lot of awesome photos at the dyeing yard. 15:00: Have a factory tour at the biggest incense factory in the town. You will have a
chance to see how incense is made from scratch by visiting every production section of
the factory, as well as learn more about life of manual worker in the countryside. 16:00: Time to go back to the city center. First place to be dropped off will be the Hanoi
Train Street. If you do not want to be dropped off there, please stay inside the bus. 17:00 ~ 17:30: Get drop off at your hotel in the Old Quarter. Tour finished.

AFTERNOON TOUR, NO LUNCH: US$39/person
12:00 ~ 12:30: Get picked up from Old Quarter by your tour guide
13:30: Make a quick visit to Chuong village, which has been well-known for the craft of
conical hat for over 300 years. We are going to meet a local artisan, quick observe how
conical hats are being made. 14:00: We depart for the Quang Phu Cau village, which has been producing incense for
more than 100 years. We will take a walk to the center of the village, see how people are
making incense at family scale. 14:20: We are going to stop at a family who specializes in dyeing the incense stick, visit
their drying yard and take some cool photos of the incense bundles. 15:20: Say goodbye to the incense-dyeing family, we will be having a factory tour at the
biggest incense factory in the town. You will have a chance to see how incense is made
from scratch by visiting every production section of the factory, as well as learn more
about life of manual worker in the countryside. It is also a chance for you to shop some
incense for souvenir at the place it is produced. 16:00: Time to go back to the city center. First place to be dropped off will be the Hanoi
Train Street. If you do not want to be dropped off there, please stay inside the bus. 17:00 ~ 17:30: Get drop off at your hotel in the Old Quarter.
